Boys, books and awkward assemblies
All girls schools- uncensored
Author: Sanah Imran
An inside look on the crazy fanatics of an all girl school, including all the inside information on what goes on at lunches and in class.
The first thing that was brought up was the boy issue, yes there are absolutely no boys. This is mentioned to be a good thing as girls do not have to worry about what they wear or how they look. Who do they have to impress? Most girls do not know the same boys, as they only have chance to see them outside of school or at socials. Besides you get used to not having boys around. It gives you the chance to focus on school, and not on what boy stared at you when. One of the main purposes of an all girls school is to keep girls focused, and this has helped dramatically. Statistics show that girls in an all girl school are most likely to become engineers or architects. This is amazing!
Going to an all girl school can be very rewarding, you build different kind of relationships than you usually would in a different environment. You build sisterly bonds that will not be broken easily. In an all girls learning environment girls are not afraid to express themselves, they can grow as a person and be themselves without worrying about who is watching. They can ask stupid questions without getting laughed at, aas most girls were probably thinking the same thing!!
I loved this article but I think more information could have been given about the school itself.

I liked how you shared your personal account of going to school with only girls!
ReplyDeleteI liked how you shared your personal experience!
ReplyDeleteI liked how you told us about your own experience in a all girls school instead of just talking about your article.
ReplyDeleteI loved how honestly happy you were!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED YOUR PRESENTATION! You used so many pictures! After your presentation, I kind of want to move to South Africa. (For the boys!!)
ReplyDeleteI like your comedy on your presentation and the way you presented it how you spoke.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how many stories you told about your own experiences at an all girls school. It sounds like you had a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI was actually interested in going to a boarding school, and I enjoyed your story about yourself. You spoke well and seemed into your presentation.
ReplyDeleteWhich school do you like more? Do you miss south Africa?
ReplyDeleteLOVE both equally. And yes I miss it with all me heart
DeleteAwesome job! You're so good at speaking in-front of people and your also very funny. Awesome job. <3 (you forgot Wian though haha)
ReplyDeleteI love the personal connection you bring-you show your love for your old school. It gives us a very human side.
ReplyDeleteThat was a really great way of organizing your presentation, instead of what is most common you made it interesting with format.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job of talking to the class. You seemed like you weren't afraid to talk in front of the class and had a great volume so everyone could hear you talk.
ReplyDeleteI liked your topic and I liked how you were obviously prepared. I loved how you gave your own story instead of the author. You are obviously good at speaking in front of people, NEVER LOSE YOUR ACCENT! I was a little confused on what your point was for telling this story so if I had to change anything that would be it. Otherwise very nice job you did great.
ReplyDeleteBianca,
ReplyDeleteYour presentation was awesome!! You had very good stage presence and allowed us to be extremely engaged in your presentation. I really enjoyed how you told your story and not the authors story. You seemed very prepared for your presentation. Great Great job!!!
This was a really cool PLN Bianca. I thought that you gave such an awesome presentation on a topic that I've always wondered about. I thought that you gave so much insight on it and I though that it was really cool how you gave your own story. In your presentation you said that you proved your teacher wrong, and I was really wondering what you did to prove your teacher wrong. What were you guys doing?
ReplyDeleteI like how you were focused the whole time.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a really great presentation. You knew what you were going to say and had great eye contact. I liked how you told us your story instead of the author's story.
ReplyDeleteI like how you stayed on topic, I also like how you went outside your article, and talked about your life story instead of the author's.
ReplyDeleteI really like how you told your own story. You weren't scared at all, you were defiantly prepared. I loved how you had pictures. You did an amazing job.
ReplyDeleteI liked how you got the attention by asking if we wondered how life was in a all girls school. Also how you gave us your side of a story.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you told it from your perspective and you didn't do it from the authors point of view. I liked how you showed us photos of what you were talking about.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you see as the main difference in adults/authority figures that taught you?
ReplyDeleteThe way we had to treat them with respect mostly. I was taught as a young girl to treat adults with respect, no matter who they are or what you think of them
DeleteDid you have ant school dances like homecoming and prom?
ReplyDeleteProm was only for seniors.... Otherwise no we did not.
DeleteWhat was your most challenging aspect of your school
ReplyDeleteNothing actually!
DeleteI love that you shared your own personal story, it really kept me interested! I think that you are a very good speaker!
ReplyDeleteI liked how you had a article but then told your own story that relates to the article.
ReplyDeleteWhat were the bros and cons about being at a all girls school?
ReplyDeleteI love that you used your own experience to explain the topic. I like that you weren't afraid to talk to the class. Also I love that you were loud and you talked to the class like say this is the best slide guys. I really liked the flow of things because it was interesting and fun to listen to.
ReplyDeleteBianca,
ReplyDeleteYour voice is so beautiful! You definatly kept the crowd engaged not just because of you accent but your tone, pictures, sarcasm, and life story. Your story is so cool and you fit it in PERFECTLY with the rest of your presentation. I loved it! It was absolutely great!
WOW favorite PLN yet! I really agree with you! I feel exactly the same about being with all girls. Even at camp when we have sister and brother camps. Everyone becomes so close and there is no one to judge them. When all girls are together its so much fun and a lot easier. Not to mention great on your self confidence. I absolutely loved your presentation. I found your story so interesting. I really really loved learning about your old school
ReplyDeleteWhat was the hardest part about all girls school?
ReplyDeleteI really liked your topic, and how you told your story instead of reading an article. Your really good at talking in front of people and talking loudly and proudly. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI liked how you told your story instead of just describing the article.
ReplyDeleteI like how open with the class you are. I've always been aware of all boys or all girls schools but I have never known what the differences were. It must have been a big transition for you and I hope that Colorado and Arapahoe grows on you. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt just shows you the differences in foreign education systems. Much more rigid, many more rules. You are pushed more to excel in math and science. It makes me wonder if these tactics are necessary?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the biggest difference between the girls at your old school and Arapahoe?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you miss most?
To think about the strict adherence to rules and codes due to violence, assault is something so foreign to us. We take for granted these freedoms we have.
ReplyDeleteI love you Beanie!
